PALMDALE PRAISES

Saturday, January 12, began as a quiet sunny day. The families of His Voice scattered in homes all over Southern California awoke early to head for their first stop at the Palmdale Seventh-day Adventist Church, in the High Desert an hour or two north. Pastor Riva Robinson was already participating in the preliminaries of the worship service as the men warmed up for their sacred concert in an adjacent room.

Brothers and sisters beyond the glass in the lobby stood to share their testimonies and prayer concerns. A painting was spotted in the Spanish Sabbath School classroom depicting one of the Scriptures used by the men's chorus (double click on picture to read the words).

The English congregation entered the sanctuary as the men's chorus walked down the aisle toward the stained glass window. Voices raised in praise to God filled the room and parishioners relaxed in the joy of listening to words that reflected the Saviour's love. It was not any music, it was His voice as surely as the Scriptures are His heart. Amens are spoken in hushed tones as a sense of belonging settled down within the sanctuary's walls.

After the service Palmdale Pastor Riva took time to be photographed with three other ministers of the Gospel ... (Left to right) Director Mike Naluai, Pastor Riva Robinson, Army Chaplain Don Troyer, and Hospital Chaplain Sherman Jefferson.
