HEDGECOCK HAYSTACKS

After finishing the worship service in Palmdale yesterday, we journeyed south to the little town of Acton, on the edge of Angeles National Forest. Our cars quickly filled up the tiny parking lot of the Presbyterian Church on Crown Valley Road founded in 1888 and built in 1923.

The Community Presbyterian Church shares their sanctuary with the Acton Adventist church family who worship there every Saturday. Hedgecock Hall is the building we ate lunch in. It was built fifty years ago and serves as a meeting place for the community of Acton, as well.

While there, we were happy to meet Keith, the brother of His Voice Baritone Ron Harrison. Keith and his wife Ronda and their children Austin, Allie and Sami (pictured together here) are active members of the Acton Seventh-day Adventist Church. We want to thank them and the rest of the church family for a wonderful vegetarian lunch of haystacks, yummy desserts, and more. Before leaving the men of His Voice circled the lunch tables and sang several beautiful hymns a cappella.
