NICK SINGS A NEW SONG

New His Voice Bass Dominick "Nick" Gutierrez accepted Jesus as his Saviour yesterday morning, December 29, 2007, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Poway. Joyfully, the men of His Voice sang Nick's favorite song, "Champion of Love" plus several other songs in the church sanctuary and up the stairs to the fellowship room where the baptismal pool was. The men's chorus regularly ministers in song the second weekend of each month, so coming out on a holiday weekend and returning to the Poway church was a big show of support for their new comrade and brother in Christ, Nick. Here are few of the pictures from that day. You'll notice the chapel decorated for the holidays ... the three baptismal candidates that included the pastor's son ... the Lord's Supper and footwashing service ... faithful pianist Joyce Leal ... Buddy and Don G in wheel chairs and singing together for the first time with the rest of the men ... the wheel chair race up the hill ... Nick singing in his blue baptismal robe and later in the His Voice suit after his baptism ... new His Voice member Rodney Knight with fellow tenor Anesio Dias ... and last but not least, a delicious fellowship meal hosted by Nick and the Poway church family. SPECIAL DAY for NEW TENOR

December 29, 2007, is the last Sabbath of the year and a very special day, indeed, for our newest member, second tenor Dominique "Nick" Gutierrez. That morning at the Seventh-day Adventist Church at 13940 Pomerado Road in Poway, Nick will be baptized by Pastor Richard Moore during the eleven o'clock worship and communion service. Nick has asked Director Mike Naluai and the men of His Voice to sing his favorite song "Champion of Love" thus we're expecting most of the men of His Voice and their families to be present.
