A SONG FOR YOU

Back in the 1970's, shortly after my brother Steve and his bride Sharilyn died in a car crash on their honeymoon, I wrote this song. Experiencing such a tragedy really rocked my world and everything around me seemed confusing.

At the time, I was working as a secretary in a seminary and would catch conversations about salvation ... but this debating on Heaven and how to get there seemed pointless to broken-hearted me. Then God gave me this song. I didn't labor with the words, they just flowed out. As I sang the song, it's words about Jesus opened my heart enough for God to start the healing ... maybe it will help you, too, thirty years later. - Nancy
