GOSPEL FEST TO HELP AT-RISK KIDS

THERE IS NOTHING that benefits communities more than helping at-risk children. That's what the Gospel Music and Art Festival in Temecula,(http://www.gospelfest08.org/) scheduled for the last weekend in September, has at the heart of it's outreach. All funds collected through ticket sales and other profits will go to help at-risk youth of Temecula. They have reason to be excited for this is not a dole-out or adult satisfaction game. The at-risk Temecula area children will be learning to express themselves creatively in dramatic arts at the Oak Grove Performing and Literary Arts Program.
.
His Voice Men's Chorus will be a part of this community benefit by joining fifteen other Gospel choirs from Southern California on the afternoon of the 27th in the Gospel Fest '08 Choir Sound-Off. His Voice will stand up and share their signature song, "Written in Red" at 1:00 PM in the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. If they are considered the best of the fifteen, then His Voice will have the privilege of sharing the Gospel again at the final evening concert at 7:00 PM and be featured on the Gospel Fest '08 compilation CD produced by Grammy Winner Shep Crawford.
.
The entire weekend will bless the community with a variety of activities: Inspirational Gospel/Christian concerts, workshops, and art by contemporary and traditional artists from diverse cultures as well as a Mass Choir, Youth Choir and Choir Competitions. Some of the workshops are: Scripture, Life and Songwriting, Living From the Inside Out; Why We Gather - Understanding the Purpose of Corporate Worship; Building a Multi-Cultural Music and Arts Department, Leading this Generation: A Workshop on Youth Ministry: and the ABC's of Basic Vocals ... to name just a few.
