HIS VOICE BEGINS NEW YEAR AT VALLEY CENTER

Saturday, January 12, 2013, the men and families of His Voice journeyed to the rural San Diego county community of Valley Center, once known as Bear Valley. It was a cold but sunny Sabbath morning, their first concert of the new year, and the men were eager to sing together again.
.
The friendly congregation of the Valley Center Seventh-day Adventist Church welcomed the men's chorus with open arms and later treated them to a delicious luncheon following the worship service concert.
.
It had been just a few weeks since Pastor John Anderson's wife, Yvonne, had passed away, so Director Mike Naluai dedicated their final song "Steppin' on the Clouds" to her memory. (See Yvonne dressed in red in the center of the back row of the church family photo above). There wasn't a dry eye in the sanctuary as men sang, "Steppin' on a cloud we'll see Jesus, Rise to meet Him in the air, Steppin' on a cloud He will greet us, Oh, the joy together we'll share...."   Certainly, everyone listening had been blessed by Yvonne's joy and kindness. The church web site reflects John and Yvonne's dedication to the gospel ministry and shows how vibrant the Valley Center Church family ministry has become - be sure to visit their website www.sdavalleycenter.net

Below are a few pictures from the men's chorus visit to the Valley Center Adventist Church.

Later in the day, His Voice visited Emeritus of Escondido and Woodland Village in San Marcos (stories soon to follow).
