Program for Asian-Pacific Worker's Meeting |
Sunday evening, August 26, 2012, the men of His Voice journeyed into San Diego County to present an inspirational concert for the opening of the Asian-Pacific Ministries worker's meetings being held at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel on Hotel Circle in San Diego.
The Asian-Pacific Ministries is a part of the Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists which covers a five-state area, including conferences in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and Hawaii. The Asian-Pacific Ministries Department is an outreach to all Asian and South Pacific Island groups, including Burmese, Cambodians, Chinese, Fijians, Filipinos, Hmong, Indonesians, Japanese, Karens, Korean, Laotians, Nepalese, Samoans, Thai, Tongans, and Vietnamese.
So it was notable that Hawaiian His Voice Director Michael Naluai and Filipino and Japanese members of the men's chorus plus men from many other areas beyond and within the United States share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the heavenly language of song with this diverse group.
His Voice Pianist Jerry Albritton accompanied the men's chorus on a keyboard opening the three day ministerial meetings on Sunday night beginning with "Holy, Holy, Holy" and ending with "No More Night." Soloists included Director Michael Naluai, Mario Roche, Harold Van Dyke, Ron Tkalec, and Don Troyer. His Voice Pianist Jerry Albritton accompanied the men's chorus at the keyboard. Over one hundred ministers and their spouses were expected and each one present was handed a special "His Voice Sandwich" - a pack of two His Voice CDs with a prayer/donation envelope in between for prayer requests and an opportunity for listeners to share in the mission of His Voice of sharing the gospel through music and improving education conditions for orphans in Baja, Mexico. It really is all about, "Singing God's Love, Following His Voice."
NEXT CONCERTS: Saturday, September 8, 2012, 11:00 AM at the Loma Linda Thai Seventh-day Adventist Church, 10855 New Jersey Street.
