Golden Moments in Costa Mesa

Saturday morning, April 14, 2012, the men of His Voice headed south on Freeway 91 following signs to the beach cities of Orange County.  A strong ocean breeze greeted its visitors with fresh coastal air as they stepped out of their cars and entered the Costa Mesa Adventist Church, nestled in a residential community on Avocado Street.
.
The eleven o'clock worship service began with Director Michael Naluai leading the men of His Voice as they walked up the side aisles singing, "Come we that love the Lord and let our joy be known...."  The lofty sanctuary echoed their heavenward praise as Jerry Albritton gave the first chord on the piano with "Holy Is The Lord."  Pastor Nate Furness later followed the concert with his sermon titled, "My Beloved Children" based on the Epistle of First John.
.
As the church family left the sanctuary, they were greeted with complimentary copies of His Voice's two CD's, "Written in Red" and "Almighty God." (His Voice operates as a faith ministry and those who receive their CDs receive an envelope to return as God impresses them.) The ladies of the church prepared a delicious dinner for guests and members alike and at the end of the meal as is their custom, His Voice sang a thank you song to those present.
Later, as some of the men were heading to their cars, Pastor Armour Potter slipped a special delivery letter in their hands which read,
"My Beloved:  My son, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.  But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins of the whole world." -  John an Apostle, AD 95 Asia Minor.
Many tucked the ancient note in their pockets, thinking of the youngest of tthe apostles who wrote this message of the Good News of Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago that would be shared with generations of future disciples, including the disciples of Christ, also known as His Voice.  It was truly, a golden moment frozen in time!
