The last stop on the His Voice schedule for June 13, 2009, was at the West Covina Hills Adventist Church on Temple Way. The sundown vesper concert began at 7:30 PM in the center aisle as the men stood side by side singing "Holy, Holy, Holy."
.
Speaking of tongues ... following the first few songs, each singer shared what languages they spoke. It was remarkable to learn how many languages the group as a whole spoke, a sort of collage of the Gospel commission to "go into all the world and preach the Gospel...."as reflected in the Bible story portrayed in the stain glass windows surrounding the sanctuary.
.
Day was done, night had come. Director Mike Naluai lead the men in one more hymn. The thirteenth day of June was complete, a triangle of churches in Los Angeles County had been visited. New friends were made. It was time for the men of His Voice and their families to head home to a warm bed and a soft pillow. Perhaps their dreams would include a tune from the day, a face in the crowd, and a prayer for a friend.
